46th International Usedom Marathon - September 5, 2026

The route begins in Świnoujście, Poland—on Europe’s longest beach promenade. From there, the route follows the promenade through the imperial spa towns of Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, and Bansin.

The route then heads into the hilly forest area and passes through the island’s largest campground (a flat section) on the way to Ückeritz. Between Ückeritz and Koserow, several uphill sections add an extra challenge.

From Koserow, the route leads over the top of the dike to Zempin and on to Zinnowitz. From there, it follows the newly built bike and hiking trail to Wolgast.

The final section crosses the Wolgast Peene Bridge into the old town—with the finish line at the Wolgast Peene Stadium.

The course features a variety of surfaces: interlocking pavers, asphalt, and forest trails—a marathon full of diversity and island charm.

Start: 9:00 a.m. in Swinoujscie

Transportation to the marathon start:
Provided by the organizer’s buses. Departure is on September 5, 2026, at 7:15 a.m. near the organizing office. There are pick-up points at various locations on Usedom. Stops and departure times will be provided when you pick up your race packet. Luggage transport to the finish stadium is guaranteed.

Marathon runners and relay teams must pass Kölpinsee (KM 21.8) before 2:30 h and Zinnowitz (KM 30) before 3:30 h to meet the time limits. If these time limits are exceeded, the runner will be removed from the race by the organizer and taken to the finish line. Once the time limits have been exceeded or the finish line has closed, there will be no further course support or refreshments!

The race starts at the Wolgast Peene Stadium. From there, the route winds through the historic old town of Wolgast and across the Wolgast Peene Bridge to the island of Usedom.

Passing the Peene Shipyard, the route winds through the idyllic villages of Neeberg, Ziemitz, and Sauzin—characterized by wide-open skies and rustic island charm.

The route then follows the same path back to the stadium in Wolgast.
The course is mostly flat and paved—ideal conditions for a fast time and perfect as a fitness test, for example, for the Berlin Marathon.

NEW: The time limit is 2:40 h. Once the time limit has been exceeded, there will be no further course support or refreshments!!!

1st Runner // 10.3 km: Swinoujscie – Bansin Pier Entrance
2. Runner // 8.7 km: Bansin pier – Ückeritz rehabilitation clinic
3. Runner // 5.9 km: Ückeritz rehabilitation clinic – Koserow pier access
4. Runner // 5.1 km: Koserow pier entrance – Zinnowitz railroad bridge
5. Runner // 12.2 km: Zinnowitz railroad bridge – Peene Stadium, Wolgast

Time limit: 5:20 h
. Kölpinsee (KM 21.8) must be reached before 2:30 h, and Zinnowitz (KM 30.0) must be reached before 3:30 h

There is only one relay classification!

Transition Zones:
Organized transportation of relay runners to the transition zones, located at the course aid stations, is not available. Only the starting runners will use the organizer’s bus transfer to the marathon start.
