This is where children's hearts race

Do your kids want a break from building sandcastles and swimming every now and then? In every seaside resort, you'll find creative playgrounds where your little ones can run around to their hearts' content and go on adventures.

In Karlchen's Zauberwald in Karlshagen

One of Usedom’s most beautiful playgrounds is Karlchen’s Zauberwald (Karlchens Enchanted Forest) in Karlshagen. The imaginative climbing area, featuring carved tree faces, invites children to climb, swing, slide, and balance. Surrounded by a small pine forest, the playground is sheltered from the sun even on hot days. A souvenir photo with Karlshagen’s mascot, Karlchen, makes the playground trip perfect.

A Thirst for Adventure in Trassenheide

Attention, little pirates! At the Trassenheide adventure playground on the beach promenade, the slide, climbing tower, and suspension bridge quickly transform into a pirate island in the vast ocean. Two zip lines provide plenty of fun and action. On the sports fields next to the playground, you and your kids can play volleyball, tennis, and badminton.

In the Strawberry Village in Koserow

Wanna bet your kids won’t want to leave here? At Karls Adventure Village, one adventure follows another. The kids whiz down the potato-sack slide, ride the Strawberry Caterpillar roller coaster, or chug around the farm on the tractor train. They can pet animals, ride ponies, splash around at the “Ferkelsuhle” water playground, or bounce on the inflatable cushions. While your little ones are having fun, you can pass the time at the farmers’ market.

At the Schmetterling on Lake Kölpinsee

At the playground in Loddin / Kölpinsee, a giant, walk-through butterfly invites children to play. Kids can choose from a slide, a basket swing, a seesaw, and a spinning platform. Make yourself comfortable on one of the many benches around the playground and watch your children as they run around. Afterward, take a short detour to the observation deck on Lake Kölpinsee to watch the ducks.

Games and Sports on the Promenade

At the “Am Hauptturm” playground near the Ahlbeck pier, little pirates can set out to conquer the seven seas on a giant shipwreck. The climbing course requires agility. The Active Promenade in Ahlbeck is a playground for adults and older children. Twenty-two pieces of equipment and obstacles—including strength trainers, a wobble board, a climbing wall, and a running seesaw—are available for sports enthusiasts of all ages.
