Camping has been experiencing a revival for some time now and is right in tune with the times. Camping is all the rage! You’ll find complete freedom, nostalgia, and modernity all year round at the “Ostseeblick” campground in Trassenheide.

Camping in Summer and Winter

Wake up in the morning with your feet right in the snow, breathe in the mineral-rich Baltic Sea air, and then be one of the first guests to take a walk along the wide beach. This could be the perfect start to your winter vacation day. The “Ostseeblick” campground is located in the family-friendly Baltic Sea resort of Trassenheide and is open from Christmas through the New Year. The summer camping season runs from April through October.

The “Ostseeblick” campground is located right behind the dune in a magnificent pine forest. The invigorating, therapeutic climate is a treat in every season. The Baltic Sea, whose soothing sound can be heard right from the campground, is perfect for a refreshing winter swim. For those who are still hesitant to take the plunge, swimming in the spring, summer, and fall is a highlight. During peak season, water temperatures can reach over 20 degrees. The annual ice-swimming spectacle on the beach is one of the winter highlights and draws guests to the Baltic Sea resort of Trassenheide.

A Safe Family Vacation

Experience nature at its most beautiful “Baltic Sea” best on the fine, powdery beach of this Baltic Sea resort. The expansive shallow-water area is particularly well-suited for families with children to swim. Safety is a top priority in the sunniest town on the island of Usedom, as evidenced, among other things, by its designation as a "Lifeguarded Beach". This is unique on the island of Usedom. In addition to safety, you’ll find excellent and consistently tested water quality in Trassenheide. In combination with its numerous environmental initiatives, the campground’s beach section has been awarded the international “Blue Flag” quality certification. Trassenheide is committed to family-friendliness and has successfully earned the designation as a “Family-Friendly Tourist Destination”.

Feeling at Home at the Campground

Right on the campground, there are two playgrounds, modern restroom facilities, a service center with rental refrigerators, and a fully automated cleaning station for toilet cassettes. The restroom facility, completed in 2020, features shared bathrooms and a large children’s play area. Modernity meets nature, always in harmony with the natural environment. The campground offers 320 campsites, 250 of which are reserved for mobile campers—such as those with tents, trailers, or RVs. A family-friendly atmosphere is the top priority. Right on the grounds, there is a store for daily necessities and a small restaurant. A fishmonger who sells fresh fish in a wide variety of preparations—including fish sandwiches—is located right in the center of the campground.

Pleasure and Being Happy

From the “Ostseeblick” campground, you’ll find yourself right in the heart of the vibrant activity offered by Trassenheide’s many tourist attractions, striking the perfect balance between relaxation and adventure. This Baltic Sea resort has the highest concentration of cultural attractions. Europe’s largest butterfly farm, the “Usedom Park” children’s amusement park, the “Pirates of the Baltic Sea” mini-golf course, Wildlife Usedom, and the Usedom Island Pirate Park are open seasonally and year-round.

The motto is “Place to Be—Relax and Experience.” The town’s mascot, Fiete, is a cuddly vacation fox who also enjoys signing autographs at various events.

Just a few minutes’ walk from the campground is the resort’s sports beach. “Surfbox-Usedom” offers surfing lessons, SUP, and a variety of other water sports. As the sun sets, you can wind down the evening in a relaxed atmosphere with some chill music.
