A Special Place

“The Tropical House at Kaiserbad Bansin” is a story that dates back to the 1970s. Initially, the site served as Bansin’s school garden; later, it evolved into a mini-zoo with a tropical greenhouse. Today, zoo visitors and hotel guests marvel at a unique blend of exotic biodiversity and cozy hospitality.

Including the zoo

The “Tropenzoo” features a tropical community spread across 1,550 square meters, home to approximately 150 animals representing 70 species and about 120 exotic plant species. Animals scuttle, climb, slither, crawl, and flutter in a terrarium area and a small tropical hall. In the outdoor enclosures, things get cozy and monkey-like—with cackling or serious “winged words” being exchanged.

Small but mighty, the zoo combines a passion for tropical animals and plants with species conservation, education, and entertainment. The zoo is open 365 days a year. A highlight for all guests of the Aparthotel Tropenhaus Bansin: admission to the zoo is included every day!
