Visitor's Tax & UsedomCard

To ensure that you feel completely at home during your stay on Usedom, we offer a wide range of tourist attractions and a broad infrastructure. To provide you with these services, a visitor’s tax is collected year-round in the seaside resorts as well as in the municipalities of Krummin, Sauzin, and the city of Wolgast. As proof of payment of the visitor’s tax, you will receive your UsedomCard, which, when presented along with your photo ID, entitles you to take advantage of the available offers.

This is what the visitor's tax is used for

Clean beaches, water safety provided by lifeguards, well-maintained piers, boardwalks, resort parks, playgrounds, and restroom facilities, a wide variety of free entertainment and sports programs for all ages, and discounts on events and at public facilities—all of these are services provided by the municipalities. They are made possible by the visitor’s tax, which is used exclusively to fund these offerings.

A visitor's tax and the UsedomCard apply here

Recognized spa, resort, and tourist destinations, as well as tourist regions, may collect a visitor’s tax and use the proceeds to issue a guest card. In our tourism region, all seaside resorts (Ahlbeck, Heringsdorf, Bansin, Ückeritz, Loddin, Koserow, Zempin, Zinnowitz, Trassenheide, Karlshagen) as well as the municipalities of Krummin, Sauzin, and the city of Wolgast collect a visitor’s tax. Therefore, in these locations, you will receive your UsedomCard, which is mutually recognized. This means that you are entitled to visit these locations without paying the visitor’s tax and can take advantage of all the services offered there.

Rates and Mobility Services

As a UsedomCard holder, you’ll enjoy the extensive tourist attractions in each town and the many benefits offered by UsedomCard partners.

In addition, some towns have included public transportation services that can be used without a separate ticket. That’s because the UsedomCard also serves as your ticket here. It doesn’t get any more convenient than that.

For all UsedomCard services, you pay only a daily fee in the form of the visitor’s tax—and only at your vacation or place of stay. Thanks to mutual recognition, your UsedomCard is valid island-wide!

The cost of the visitor’s tax depends on the season and any additional transportation services included:
