This imposing castle complex, dating back to 1575, is situated in the heart of the Usedom Island Nature Park. The word “Mellenthin” comes from the Slavic language and means “center.” And that’s exactly where the Mellenthin Moated Castle is located—right in the center of Usedom Island.

Location Description

This historic moated castle, built in 1575, is located in the heart of the Usedom Island Nature Reserve. An impressive tree-lined avenue and a moat lead the way to the renovated moated castle. Right next to it is the park, featuring a herb garden and centuries-old trees.

The spacious double rooms (approx. 18–20 square meters) are comfortably furnished with attention to detail. Guests can enjoy a special touch of luxury in the raised beds with adjustable lying positions. The spacious bathrooms, crafted from the finest granite, provide a relaxing bathing experience. The low entry makes it easy and comfortable to walk into the shower area. Each room offers a unique and charming view. Furthermore, every room is equipped with a flat-screen TV and a telephone.
